48-hour book challenge!
Bring it on!
Think you can read the most books in 48 hours? Sign up here. And you don’t stand a chance against me!
Can’t possibly join in as I have too much else to do. But, today I read Alice Kuipers’ “Life on the refrigerator door” on a twentyfive minute train journey. I think books should last longer than that.
Allison,
I definitely recommend the Roman Mysteries by Caroline Lawrence. They’re great and fast (I read book 3 this morning during sippy cup/Playhouse Disney time). Start requesting them from your library in May so you’ll have all of them. If you haven’t already read them, that is.
Thanks again for that recommendation, Bookwitch :)
Thanks for the tip, Abi. I’ll go check right now and see if they have them.
Wow, I love to read and a weekend dedicated to this sounds great. But I have ADD and it takes me forever to read a book. Do I get a consolation prize for starting the most books? Or maybe my goal will be to finish books already started! In any case, sign me up for Venti Starbucks and my new kitty on my lap while I read.
Yay! Make sure to go to this page:

That’s where you officially sign up. I think there are awards for time spent, pages read, etc. - not just books completed, so you’ll do great!
I’m going to put in a coffee IV so I can do this. What books do you think you’ll be reading? I’m thinking Spiderwick Chronicles, Gossip Girls, …something light and fluffy.
