Fisher Price recall…
These kinds of things piss me off. My husband sent me a text message saying, “did you hear anything about a Mattel recall for lead paint on stuff made in China?” Well, that’s pretty vague, so I look it up (safety site), and turns out there’s a HUGE recall on a bunch of Fisher Price toys - mostly Sesame Street, Dora and Diego toys. My son has three things on the list. Two of them are sets of multiple little rubber figures - perfect for teething toddlers, unless of course, they’re coated in LEAD PAINT! Shit!
So now I have to take away all of my kid’s Dora figures, including his favorite, Swiper the Fox, who’s head he chews on regularly to relieve his considerable teething pain. That crap better not have poisoned my kid, or I’m going to go Erin Brokovich on their dumb-asses.
Seriously. Is nothing safe? I’m pissed.
Sorry for all the cursing.
Abs, I feel your frustration. Jackson was affected by the Thomas the Train recall. We returned the toys like they suggested and were compensated with new toys, but how do I know these don’t have lead paint also? Maybe we should go into business and sell some lead-paint detection kits?!?!
since the chinese have tried to poison america before, with lead paint and other chinese based products the american people have a set idea that the chinese are trying to poison us. But I think that china isnt trying to have this happend and they are doing the best they can to take care of it. Since cristmas is coming chinese based toys that will be sent to america for the holiday season will make americans think twice about those toys. Which may cause a all time low plummet on toys made in china. I strongly belive that china and america’s are trying to do the best they can on this crisis and that china toys will be fixed.
