All Time Favs
As I keep track of this year’s books, I’m reminded of all the awesome books I’ve read that were never chronicled. I wanted to share a list in case we have similar taste and you’d like a recommendation, or even better, you’d like to offer one! Please note that there is no rhyme or reason to my taste - I like lots of genres. Mostly, I just like good stories.

I know there are a lot more, but that’s all I can think of for now.
How delicious is that Flowers in the Attic series? That VC must have had some major issues. All she wrote about was incest, and abused kids! Still they are so good. I need to read them again someday…after I read the 23,848,575 other books I want to read.
I’ve read many of the books on your list. We have the same eclectic tastes in books. ;-)
I have only read two; Harry Potter and Jane Eyre.
I suspect we have a difference of continents here, and, ahem, a slight difference in age.
My plans include listing the books I read last year, to get a feel for how many I get through, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Bookwitch,
Books know no age, right? If I was going to recommend any book above the others - hands down, I’d pick Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. The only book I’ve ever read twice. It’s wonderful, and takes place on your side of the pond. So tuck that one away for “someday” :)
I read The Divinci Code and missed an entire week of a family vacation at Lake Powell, because I couldn’t put it down. My mom LOVES Jonathan Living Seagull so the rebel daughter in me has refused to read it since she tried to cram it down my throat in high school. Maybe I’m mature enough to get over that and read it. Jane Eyre is on my nightstand as I write, for me to read one of these days, but I think I’ll add your all time favorite Pillars of the Earth to that nightstand as well. Have you read Life of Pi? That’s far and away my all time favorite.
Debbie,
Lucky for you, Jonathan Livingston Seagull is only like 30 pages long, so you’ll only have to swallow your pride a little. I haven’t read Life of Pi, so I’ll put it on my library request list. Thanks for the recommendation!
I’ll be watching your blog for a review of Life of Pi, I think you’ll love it. And I guess I should pull out that old paperback from my mom and give the old seagull book a whirl.
Abi, have you read any of Haven Kimmel’s books? Both her fiction & non- are wonderful. Start with “A Girl Named Zippy” & you’ll be hooked!
[...] Book Challenge, books, blogging I’ve added a page to my blog with a running list of my all time favorite books and series. As I remember more, I’ll keep adding - if you think we share an interest, I’d love [...]
