Our favorite CDs around the house are by Harry Connick, Jr., who I love with a white hot passion. Um, I mean, I think he’s pretty handsome. Anyway, we do a lot of dancing to Harry…here’s a little taste of my son’s dancing skills:
I spend hours and hours on my blogs. I have four now. I finally got approved by PayPerPost, and now I’m able to write ads on blogs for a little money. Momma needs to pay for her domain names, right?
So far, I’ve been an official member of PayPerPost for a week. I did two posts – one about a movie release that I’m totally excited about, and one about a site that has coupon codes for online stores. How easy is that? These are things I would write about anyway. First of all, who can pass up a movie with Harry Connick, Jr.? Not me. Who can pass up $5 off your order from Target.com? Not me. So I feel good about PayPerPost. I get to pick products and services that I would be writing about anyway, only now, I get $5 or $6 or $10 to put it on my blog.
As a former Ad/PR pro turned mommy, I really enjoy the genius of these sponsorship opportunities. After sending thousands of press releases to uninterested and unwilling journalists and editors, I am happy to promote stuff for others. Plus, I only write about stuff I genuinely have interest in, so there’s no sincerity lost, no false claims.
If you’re considering PayPerPost, here’s another review: www.investorblogger.com
I totally recommend PayPerPost. You’re writing anyway, why not get paid? Plus, through PayPerPost, I found out about PostieCon…a convention for posties! Who knew?
I love love love Ashley Judd. Put her with my one true love (don’t tell my husband), Harry Connick, Jr. and I’ll even watch a scary movie! So I’m super excited that later this month (May 25), the movie Bug is releasing. I’m not too familiar with the other guy – the male lead, Michael Shannon, but he totally freaks me out in the bug movie trailer, so that’s good, right? Plus, the website is a marvel of web technology. You can watch the trailer on the official site, or on You Tube.
Have you ever heard that urban legend about spiders that lay their eggs in people’s skin while they’re sleeping? Then they think it’s a zit, so they pop it, and a million spider babies come crawling out? That’s what this trailer made me think of. And, it’s directed by William Friedkin, the director of “The Exorcist” – the movie that gave me nightmares all through my childhood. Mostly because I had a baby sitter that would tell me it was a true story.
I really like the blue poster – how his face is in hers…like the bugs under her skin. Really, I want to see the bug movie to see if there are really bugs or if they’re just looney tunes.
