Book #22
(Book Binge book #12) Roman Mysteries #3, Pirates of Pompeii by Caroline Lawrence. This one was awesome! I read it in about an hour. Lots of focus on Nubia - who I love. Jonathan’s sense of humor and leadership qualities stand out. A little more of Lupus’ history is revealed.
Read these books already.
There’s no shame in my game…these books are probably for fifth or sixth graders, but I’m gobbling them up like I was 10 again. Good stories are good stories - no matter how old you are.
Ooh, thanks for the suggestion! About those Roman Mysteries - I requested the first 8 from the library, and they’re slowly trickling in. You’re going to blow through them, so you might not want to start until you have a few in and a few on the way. Unless you hate them, of course :)

OK, OK, I put the first book in the series on hold at the library. ;-)
Hey, I thought of some that you may like. They’re in the kid’s section but read more like a YA book to me. At the Sign of the Sugared Plum by Mary Harper. The sequel is Petals in the Ashes. They are both quick reads and I think you’ll really enjoy them. The first book takes place in the time of The Plaque in London. The 2nd has the same characters and is set during the Great Fire of London. I love history and these were really good.
